Broadband is high-speed Internet access through a cable or DSL modem. It gives you a faster connection than dial up. You need a broadband connection to use the KoolTelAmerica service. A typical KoolTelAmerica telephone call works like this. You dial through any touch-tone phone. When you speak into your telephone, KoolTelAmerica converts your voice into digital data packets. We do this with a phone adapter unit that we ship you for free. Your data packets are forwarded across the Internet to a computer closer to the party you called. Behind the scenes the KoolTelAmerica network re-assembles those packets and sends it the last mile to their phone. That's why KoolTelAmerica customers can call any telephone anywhere, not just other VoIP users. And because we use Broadband technology, there is no Bandwidth congestion for your VoIP service.

For all of the KoolTelAmerica services you will need:

• A Broadband Internet service such as: DSL or Cable.

• AThe KoolTelAmerica PC2Phone is provided free, upon sign up.

KoolTelAmerica is available everywhere, regardless of where you live and your current telephone number.

KoolTelAmerica does not provide Internet service at this time but it is an option that we are looking to provide in the near future.

To determine which access number to use for your KoolTel Landline or KoolTel Mobile service, first log in to your KoolTel account. Under the 'Menu' section on the left select 'View Access Number'. Then follow the steps on the right.

You need to dial the KoolTelAmerica tollfree from your Landline or Mobile before you make your call. To save time, program our access number in the speed dial of your phone!
